The Client Process
How it works
1. Contact Form + Connect
You have went through my portfolio, read through my website, and have determined the collection you are interested in purchasing and now you're ready to reach out.
It's time to start figuring out a time frame that you're interested in photographing your session.
Some things to consider: Are you wanting a sunset session? Studio session? A specific location? A certain season of the year. Please note that all minis are scheduled for a weekday evening in Richmond, Missouri.
Include any other details you might want me to know in your contact form. After submitting, I will reply within 24-48 hours. To book, signed contracts are required and a retainer (retainer cost varies with each collection) is placed to secure your date + time. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your session.
2. It's Time To Plan
We figured out a date that works for both of us and now we're set to plan the session!
This can be a stressful part of the process especially if you have a family you're trying to figure out outfits.
I always suggest having Mom (if your session is family) plan her outfit first and then work around that, piecing everyone else's outfits together after. If you're worried about style or needing a little extra help in the planning department - I got you! ;) I can send over a curated "mood board" that will show you complimentary colors and styles that look great with my editing.
3. Your Session Day Is Here
Ahh! All of the excitement. I will be in communication with you on the days leading up to your session. We will keep an eye on the weather because the Midwest can always switch things up on us last minute. Go over the checklist that I sent via email for the 'day of session'. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel to the location. Don't rush and stress yourself out. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can walk and talk beforehand without cutting into your session time.
Come open-minded and with a warm smile, because we are going to have a blast documenting your love!!
4. Gallery Delivery
Your session was photographed! Now comes the hard part... Waiting for your gallery delivery.
To take some of the sting away from the wait, I make sure to get a 3-4 image preview to you within 48 hours. Because I am just as excited as you to see your beautiful images!
You can expect your gallery to be delivered within 2-5 weeks, depending on the session type and duration. I know, long wait - but you can't rush art! I want to make sure your gallery is perfect before delivering it.
MY STYLE
I have a pretty laid back approach when it comes to your family, fashion, and couple photography session. I want you to feel comfortable and like you can be yourself. That is most important. But I also want us to think out of the box and get creative with the session if possible. Not just stick to facing the camera, stand, and say cheese poses. Don't get me wrong, it works great for some people, and that is wonderful. It's just not an approach that works for me, personally.
This is all about you and I want to bring our vision to life. So please, when you inquire, tell me all about yourself and those attending the session. Give me all the details!

What should we wear for our session?
I can send over a guide that may benefit you if you're looking for help on colors, style, etc. It really just depends on the location and what you will feel comfortable in style wise, while remaining true to yourself! I'm a detail person, so I'm ALWAYS up to discuss details on how to make your session the best.
When do we get our photos?
I provide a few image previews before delivering your gallery. You will receive your complete online gallery within 2-6 weeks of your session. Quite a few variables go into this, so each session gallery turnaround time may be different because of reasons like busy season, if the gallery is larger, etc.
Where are you located?
I'm located in Richmond, Missouri. It is about an hour northeast of Kansas City, Missouri.
I am available for travel throughout Missouri. Travel fees are not reflected in the prices of collections. I charge $0.725 per mile to and from Richmond. Contact for more information on this subject.
